CIMRS UPDATE: Annual Status Report and Award with Excellence Application
Agency Annual Status Report
The agency Annual Status Report (ASR) has a new location within the CALEA Information Management and Reporting System (CIMRS). Agencies will now see a tab entitled “Annual Status Report” in years 1, 2, and 3 of its 4-year cycle. The required information and submission timing has not changed. The change was simply made to consolidate this information into its own tab and no longer live within the “Details” tab.
For additional information on the Annual Status Report, please refer to the CALEA Guide to Successful Accreditation Management (CGSAM) in PowerDMS.
Award With Excellence Application
Agencies requesting consideration for the CALEA® Accreditation with Excellence Award are required to meet all established eligibility criteria denoted on the corporate website. If an agency feels it meets this criteria, a new form has been added to the CALEA Information Management and Reporting System (CIMRS) that needs to be completed in full and submitted not less than 30-calendar days prior to the start of the CALEA Conference where the agency will be presented for a reaccredited status.
The new form appears as a tab in the 4th year of an agencies’ review but should not be completed until the CEO receives the final accreditation report. The agency must complete the form within CIMRS and provide responses to four questions, which are intended for the Commission to understand how the agency uses accreditation to support the delivery of public safety services and promote professionalism through the model. CALEA staff will verify the agency meets all eligibility criteria. The Commission makes final determination regarding the awarding of candidate agencies.
Before completing this application, please review the criteria for the Accreditation with Excellence Award located on the CALEA website (www.calea.org).
