Accreditation Programs

CALEA provides four Accreditation Programs for Public Safety Agencies: Law Enforcement, Communications, Training Academy, and Campus Security. Each of these programs promulgates standards that reflect best practices for public safety agencies. The 5-Step Accreditation Process provides a straightforward path for agencies to follow and is consistent for all programs. CALEA conducts conferences, workshops, and presentations in each of these areas and also conducts assessments to ensure compliance with the applicable CALEA standards.
