The CALEA Standards for Law Enforcement Agencies Manual, has been updated to version 6.7. This manual is currently available in your agency PowerDMS site. Version 6.7 includes a correction to language in standard 71.3.1. When appropriate please publish the latest version of the sixth edition manual

During the Mexico City meeting, the Commission Standards Review and Interpretations Committee (SRIC) approved revisions to the CALEA Standards for Law Enforcement Agencies Manual, and the Communications Manual.

The National Law Enforcement Applied Research and Data Platform (the Platform) provides an invaluable resource to law enforcement executives from two perspectives - agency staff and the community. Platform surveys provide timely and actionable data to assist chief executives in decision-making on a variety of internal and community-facing topics.

Six agencies were accredited by the Commission in Mexico City.

The Commission would like to recognize individuals who have appropriately researched contemporary public safety issues and submitted standard proposals that are adopted or significantly impact the content of an updated or new standard.

The CALEA Accreditation Manager Certification Program provides an opportunity for successful managers to earn specific credentials as an expert in the process of accreditation.
