CALEA TRI-ARC Award Presented
During the Celebration Banquet at the Summer 2013 CALEA Conference held in Columbus, Ohio, the CALEA TRI-ARC Award was presented. The award was created to recognize entities that concurrently hold all three CALEA Accreditation Awards: Law Enforcement, Public Safety Communications, and Public Safety Training Academy.
The latest recipients of the CALEA TRI-ARC Award are the St. Louis, Missouri Metropolitan Police Department and the Secretaría de Seguridad Pública del Estado de Baja California, Mexico. This marks the first time the TRI-ARC has been awarded to an organization outside the United States.
The award name was selected to reflect the three accreditation programs (“TRI”) and symbolize the synergistic power and light created as the result of an unusual achievement (“ARC”). A handsome cherry wood obelisk statute was created to represent the award.
