This year will produce more resources and opportunities for agencies to successfully implement best practices and produce positive outcomes through the application of standards.

The CALEA Accreditation Manager Certification Program provides an opportunity for successful managers to earn specific credentials as an expert in the process of accreditation.

Periodically, CALEA updates its bylaws, policies, and standards to maintain the mission, purpose, and values of the organization. As the commission identifies changes, additions, and/or updates, the proposed item is posted to the CALEA website for client comment and feedback. Upon adjournment of the 2025 August CALEA Conference in Little Rock, AR, the CALEA Commission is seeking input on several standards. The review period ends September 23, 2025. Please complete and submit your comments via the web form by midnight, September 23, 2025.

CALEA is committed to distributing updated standards within 14 days of each conference. We understand these changes and/or minor updates are critically important to each of you and your agencies. The standards have been updated and are now live within PowerDMS.
