CALEA®, the Gold Standard in Public Safety, is pleased to announce the appointment of new Commissioner Chief Janet Moon. Commissioner Moon’s appointment is effective February 1, 2022.

Periodically, CALEA finds it necessary to update bylaws, policies, and standards in order to maintain the mission, purpose, and values of the organization. As the commission identifies changes, additions and/or updates, the proposed item is posted to the CALEA website for client comment and feedback.

Please be aware that on Wednesday, Dec 29 from 7-9am EST, the CIMRS application will be down for server maintenance. During this time, the CIMRS application (accreditation.calea.org) will be inaccessible. Regular activities can resume immediately following the maintenance window. CALEA’s Executive Board has made the difficult decision to transition the in-person November 2021 CALEA Conference to a virtual platform, which has been successful in meeting the organization’s mission over the past two years.
