Working Together to Enhance Accreditation Management Technology

PowerDMS/NEOGOV have been partnered with CALEA for over 15 years. This featured session discussion is the history and future of software to help manage accreditation.

SPECIALIZED CRIMINAL ENFORCEMENT UNITS

The Commission is considering the creation of standards related to the creation, supervision and review of Specialized Criminal Enforcement Units. The intent is for these standards to apply to temporary units created specifically to address criminal activity or “street crime”. Please note, task force operations would be addressed by current standards in Chapter 42.

CALEA Commission Standards for Review and Comment: March 2025 (UPDATED 7 APRIL 2025)

The CALEA Standards Review and Interpretation Committee, referred to as the “SRIC” meets in Executive Session just prior to each CALEA conference to work on standards for revision or creation of new ones. At the CALEA conference, the Commission votes to approve a standard or direct staff to post the standard for client comments. Deleted language is shown as red strikethrough. The proposed new language is shown as highlighted and in bold text. Please review the standard and complete the web form by midnight, April 29, 2025.
